The service
Handoff delivers a message you compose to a person you name, on a channel you choose, and records the choice they make. It is a messaging and record-keeping tool. It does not decide anything, does not vet your request, and does not verify who is holding the phone at the other end.
What an approval is — and isn't
An answer here is an operational record: someone with the link chose one of the options you offered, at a recorded time. It is not a qualified electronic signature, not identity verification, and not legal advice or consent under any regulation. If you need a binding signature, use a product built and certified for that.
Who you may message
You may only send a request to someone you have a legitimate reason to contact — a colleague, a client, an on-call responder, yourself. Using Handoff for unsolicited messaging, harassment, phishing, or to impersonate another person or organisation is prohibited and will end your access. You are responsible for the content of every message you send and for complying with the messaging laws that apply to you.
Credits and billing
Handoff is billed per delivered message in Ounie credits from your shared Ounie wallet. There is no subscription. Credits are reserved when you call and settled when the provider accepts the message. If the provider refuses it while the call is open, the full reserve is returned to the pools it came from and nothing is recorded as consumed. Because email delivery is asynchronous, a message the mail provider accepts and later bounces is charged — it will simply go unanswered and expire. Reading a request back — polling, the decision page, listing your history, cancelling — is free.
Credits are purchased on ounie.com under its terms, are not redeemable for cash, and expire only where its policy says so (the monthly included allowance does not roll over).
Delivery is best effort
We hand your message to an email provider or to Telegram. We cannot guarantee it will be read, will avoid a spam folder, or will be answered before your deadline. If nobody answers, the request expires and reports as expired — your workflow must treat that as a "no", never as consent.
Availability
The service is provided as-is, without warranty. We may change or discontinue it. Our aggregate liability is limited to the credits you spent on the requests in question. Do not use Handoff as the sole safeguard on anything where a missed or mistaken approval would cause serious harm.
Acceptable use
No unlawful content, no attempts to break the token or billing systems, no resale of the service as your own. We may suspend accounts that abuse the service or the people it messages.
